Airtel network internet manual configuration. Many android phones mostly the lower android version don't come with internet pre-installed. So in this case you have to configure the internet settings by yourself.

Without much waste of you time let go

1. Ensure the simcard browse internet and registered.


2. Load airtime on the sim card and choose your internet subscription package you can afford.


3. Make sure you didn't subscribe to Blackberry ie using bb subscription.


4. Go to your android Menu>


5. Go to Settings>


6. Go to more settings under wireless and networks>


7. Go to mobile networks>


8. Choose airtel if there are two simcard>


9. Go to Access Points Names


10. Click your android button to add New APN>

Name=         Zain Mobile internet

APN=              internet.ng.Zain.com

Proxy=             172.018.254.005

Port=                 8080

Username=      internet

Password=        internet



Repeat the same for mms

Name=         Zain MMS

APN=              mms.ng.Zain.com

Proxy=             172.018.254.005

Port=                 8080

Username=      mms

Password=        mms


If the above configuration is not working, use the below configuration

Name=         Zain Mobile internet

APN=              wap.ng.Zain.com

Proxy=             none/blank

Port=                 none/blank

Username=      wap

Password=        wap

Save the configuration and start surfing internet.

For automatic configuration just text settings to 232.
